Girish Patel is the visionary founder of KiaOra Food and Beverages LLP, established with the mission to import and distribute distinctive flavors and create memorable experiences that cater to the evolving tastes of the dynamic Indian market.
As a dynamic and results-oriented executive, Girish brings over 30 years of extensive experience in international trade, export management, and distribution, spanning diverse industries such as granite, steel pipes, photo films, and alcohol. He has a proven track record in cultivating strategic partnerships, streamlining supply chains, and achieving substantial sales growth in competitive markets, including the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
Girish’s exceptional leadership skills are underscored by his commitment to fostering team development and enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring sustainable growth and a high-performance culture within the organization.
With a career spanning senior roles in Business Development, Key Account Management, Team Management, and Marketing, I’ve been deeply involved in launching new brands and SKUs across the Food & Beverage sector, particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) space.
From the early days of introducing Red Bull to New Zealand, to spearheading the launch of Brasserie Fischer Brewery into the competitive London market, I’ve had the privilege of working with some bold, high-impact brands. My experience also includes driving national franchise sales for The Coffee Guy in New Zealand, overseeing the build and launch of a food truck with Mobile Food Group, introducing Stoke Beer for McCashin’s Brewery, and managing liquor retail and grocery sales for Hancocks Wine, Spirit, and Beer Merchants.
Throughout my career, I’ve consistently been sought out to help brands develop and execute robust sales strategies. I pride myself on being more than just a salesperson—I’m someone who tells stories with skill, crafting narratives that connect brands to their audience in meaningful ways.
For the past seven years, I’ve channeled this passion into my own business, Rakontur, where I operate as a Freelance Sales Agent, representing multiple brands across liquor retail and major supermarkets. I’m dedicated to making connections, sharing great stories, and finding innovative ways to do business.
